Making Your Rosary: Catholics 1

Step 5: Add the Medal
Center the beads on your wire, leaving about a 4 INCH; tail on each end. Add a crimp tube to the end you just finished, so that each end has one.

Now cut your wire. Use a piece of tape to secure the end you are not working with firmly to your work surface. You are about to apply some tension to it, so this is important, or your beads will fly off in every direction.

Thread a wire end through one of the two top loops on your center medal.

Thread the wire back through the crimp tube and through one or two of the beads.

Pull the wire tight, snugging the crimp up against the beads and leaving a small loop at the medal end. (Be sure to apply enough tension.)

Apply the crimp tool to the crimp tube.

Repeat the same steps at the other end, securing it to the other top loop of the medal. This isn't shown in the illustration at left. It works just the same.
